East showdown, where Toronto comes in with a record of 77-60, on top of the A.L. East.  While the Yankees are 71-65, 5.5 behind the Blue Jays and 3.5 behind both Baltimore and Detroit. What a game!  Back-and-forth until Gardner's catch in the ninth.  The Yankees have a chance to sweep the Blue Jays in this series and cut the Jays lead on the Yanks to 3.5 games.  But right now with the Yankees defeating the Blue Jays, Orioles defeating Rays.  The A.L. East Standings look like this:
